Gardaí visit 1st - TY students to give a talk

On Friday, 6th December two members of the Gardaí visited Stratford to give a talk about online safety and wellbeing issues.

Stratford College 2024 School Production "Happily Never After" - Tickets on Sale

Tickets are now on sale for the 2024 School Production "Happily Never After".  

Tickets can be purchased in the school hall at lunchtime or on the door on the night.  7 euro per ticket.

Students visit the Jewish Museum in Portobello

1st, 2nd, and 3rd Jewish Studies students visited the Jewish Museum in Portobello yesterday with Ms. Maccaba. The students stopped along the way to visit landmarks in the neighbourhood and finally at the famous Brezel Bakery for a pastry and hot chocolate (opened in the late 1800's by Jewish immigrants from Russia). 

TYs and Leaving Cert Computer Science students go to Microsoft Dream Space

On Monday 2nd December the TYs, 5th and 6th Year Computer Science students visited Microsoft Dream Space with Ms O'Kelly and Ms Maxwell. 

6th Years visit the Civic Theatre "Caith amach é"

The 6th years had a great trip to the Civic Theatre to see a live show based on their Sraith pictures for the Leaving Certificate. 

U16 Boys Basketball team win semi's to make it two finals in a row!

Fantastic news from Wesley College as our U16 Boys basketball team won their semi-finals convincingly 52-30! The finals will be on Thursday 12th December.

6th Year student comes 3rd in Dublin Women's Weightlifting competition

Congratulations to Shay in 6th Year who came 3rd in a Women's weight-lifting competition at the end of November.

Mitzvah Week - Student Council running Mitzvah Raffle in support of Focus Ireland

Tickets are on sale for the Mitzvah Raffle (which started on Thursday 28th November) in aid of Focus Ireland. The raffle will take place at the 5th Year Assembly which will be held in Monday 9th December. You can buy 1 ticket for €2 or 5/row/column of tickets for €5.

Senior Cycle students go see Gladiator II

Ms Donohoe organised a Senior Cycle Classics trip to see Gladiator II in the Omniplex Cinema in Rathmines on Friday 29th November. 

Rounders Challenge - Teachers v. 1st Year Students

During break on the 25th November the 1st year students years had a rounders game against the teachers. The teachers batted first, and Mr. O’Callaghan was the first batter and he had a fair hit but he only got to 1st base. The rest of the teachers batted with the help of a few 3rd year students with a surprisingly good hit from our History teacher, Ms. Kenny and our Computer Studies teacher, Ms. O’Kelly.
